The name of this album, "", pronounced 'intimacy': ɪntəməsi (n), requires the following explanation.

Lexically speaking, the principle definition of "define" (v.) is to deconstruct a word into more words. We have developed an affection for defining the thought in such a lexical manner: into more words. For instance, the question "what are you thinking?", posed upon a stranger or an estranged acquaintance, friend, intimate, the question begs the process of words to intimately identify the objective, without mediation: the thought that we intimately exclusively /think with words and words only/, rather than anything else.

Purposively, this collection of words, the words I chose to represent the objects in question (i.e the tracks, the EP, this blurb) are made to juxtapose with a single word (e.g. ""). The word "" is extraordinary insofar that we utilise it almost explicitly as a representation of something usually non-objective or non-lexical or non-conclusive (i.e. subjective/intersubjective or experiential). That is to say, your, my, our experience of '' is often taken to be a necessary pre-requisite for defining that - and, the -experience- of is something we know to be much much more than the word we use to represent it: "" indicates a whole particular realm of being, of timing, of feeling, thinking: we do well now to enjoy the futility of a few words to accompany those very -real- realms, whether they be better described as physical, mental, magical, visceral, whatever - spend some time sparing thoughts for it all, spend it, relax into it: the rhythm and experience of -
